Webinars

Our webinars are a great way to access up-to-date, evidence-based information in a format that is easily accessible no matter where and how you practice.

A webinar is a live seminar that takes place on the internet, allowing participants in different locations to access an informative presentation online. Attendees can listen to and sometimes see the presenter during the presentation. There is also the opportunity to interact with the presenter and other attendees by typing feedback and questions. You do not need any special software programs to access a webinar, just a computer with internet access and speakers or headphones.

Please visit Our Events page for a full list of upcoming webinars and to register.  When you register you will receive an email confirming your registration and instructions on how to access the webinar. Following the event, you will be given access to a recording of the presentation.

DONT FORGET  - as of 1st July 2017 all live webinars are FREE for ACM members.  That's a minimum of 12 hours of new and exciting (midwifery specific) CPD for ACM members every year!

Accessing recordings of past webinars

If you are interested in accessing an audio recording of a past webinar, you will find them in our Shop, under Webinar Recordings. Please note recordings are for personal use only and can not be used by an institution for training purposes.

Institution Access

Site licenses of webinar recordings for teaching purposes are available for purchase.  Please see the Webinar Site License Agreement and order form on the Webinar Site License Resource Page (linked below) or contact education@midwives.org.au for more details and to place an order.

Presenting a webinar

We are always on the lookout for new presenters for our annual Webinar Series.  With 12 new webinars per year (or 1 per month) we have the opportunity to cover a wide variety of areas of interest each year.  We would love for you to join our presenter community on an area of practice that is your specialty.  Please take a look at the details in our Webinar Presenters Information document or send us an email to education@midwives.org.au and let us know your questions or field of interest so we can start the process of booking you in (or providing more details).

If there is a topic that you would like us to be addressing in a webinar, please email us on education@midwives.org.au so that we can look into finding a suitable presenter and allocating it a time in our planning.

Or, if you know an amazing presenter (e.g. you have seen them at a conference or you might know them personally) please let us know their contact details so we can start the conversation with them and determine their interest.
