Panelists
Dr Peter Del Fante is a General Practitioner, Public Health Physician, and Clinical Informatician based in Adelaide, with a strong background in digital health, preventative medicine, and health data analytics. He has led initiatives to improve integrated care and population health through data-driven tools and currently serves as a senior Digital Health Advisor with the Australian Digital Health Agency. Passionate about leveraging technology to enhance health outcomes, Peter has played a key role in shaping the National Digital Health Strategy, including My Health Record.

Dr Paul Cooper is a seasoned health informatician, researcher, and consultant with expertise spanning AI governance in healthcare, organisational change, and tertiary education. With a foundation in medical research, he has designed and delivered postgraduate courses in AI and digital health across Masters and MBA programs. His research focuses on digital inclusion and equity in the evolving AI landscape. Paul currently serves as a senior Digital Health Advisor with the Australian Digital Health Agency.

Angela Ryan is a registered nurse, health informatician and executive, with decades long experience across the health system, leading policy reform and large-scale programs at the state and federal levels in digital health, virtual and clinical care, and now as Lead Healthcare Executive with Oracle Health. She is a founding Fellow and non-executive director of the Australasian Institute of Digital Health and non-executive Director of Therapeutic Guidelines, and former President of the Australasian College of Health Informatics. Angela is a Digital Health Adviser with the Australian Digital Health Agency, and former Chief Clinical Information Officer. In 2021, Angela was the recipient of the inaugural Brilliant Women in Digital Health award and in 2017 was awarded a Churchill Fellowship through global research into digital health and patient safety governance

Tracey Davenport is Director, Research Evaluation and Statistics at the Agency, with a passion for digital health and its potential to enhance wellbeing. She has worked with organisations including beyondblue, the University of Sydney’s Brain and Mind Centre, and the Young and Well CRC, focusing on technology-driven mental health solutions. Her work includes co-designing digital tools with young people and clinicians, translating research into real-world impact. Tracey is committed to collaborative research and nurturing the next generation of innovators in this space.

Michelle Nelson - Driven by a deep commitment to improving health outcomes for all Australians, I bring extensive personal and professional experience to my role as a Digital Health Adviser. Since 2015, I have increasingly navigated both public and private health systems, managing my own health conditions and supporting family members of all ages on their medical journeys. My firsthand insights, also include briefly working in the public health system and participating on several health consumer groups.

I am passionate about the transformative potential of digital health technologies, and regularly use wearables, health apps and custom tracking systems to monitor medical histories, test and scan results, biometrics, and medications.
