From the VIC Branch
Welcome to the webpage for the Victorian Branch. Victoria is unique in that it has two branches (VIC branch and Gippsland). Please refer to the Gippsland page for information about their activities. The VIC branch currently has two active sub-branches (City and MOSES). The VIC branch is keen to support the establishment of other sub-branches where midwives can support each other locally.
The VIC branch committee welcomes suggestions from members as to how we can support Victorian midwives professionally. Please contact us via the email address below. It is our intention to hold several events each year throughout the state. Reading ‘Branch Matters’ is the best way to stay connected with VIC branch activities.
Branch Matters reports are prepared by the branches and published by the National office. VIC branch would love to promote local activities and report on midwifery experiences and presence in Victoria. Please email your reports/photos to VICbranch@midwives.org.au.
There are a number of scholarships that the branch has available to help support metropolitan and rural midwifery students, as well as financial support for registered midwives undertaking further study or research. Please see the scholarships page for more information.
