ACM given all clear to develop an Innovate RAP
We have been working on the development of a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). Following recent discussions with Reconciliation Australia, we have been advised that we are further advanced in our journey than we thought. This is fabulous news because it means we are able to go ahead and present an Innovate RAP when we go to consultation with ACM membership in a few weeks.
Sarah Stewart, member of the ACM RAP working group said "We're delighted to be advised that our draft RAP is actually at an Innovate level because it demonstrates we have aleady started to put actions into place that will move us toward healing and reconciliation. In other words, we are already starting to walk the talk, which is very encouraging."
An Innovate RAP supports an organisation to start to put their thinking into action. Reconciliation Australia says " An Innovate RAP focuses on developing and strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, engaging staff and stakeholders in reconciliation, developing and piloting innovative strategies to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples."

In the next few weeks, we will be releasing our draft Innovate RAP to members, seeking your views and ideas.
