You're in safe hands with Danny King Legal

Free* legal advice for members

Thanks to our partnership with award-winning boutique law firm, Danny King Legal (DKL), you can now access a FREE initial legal consultation, usually charged at $726.00.

Who is DKL and what are they offering ACM members?

DKL is a specialist employment law firm based in the Sydney CBD, providing a dedicated support service to members at special rates. They’re a team of lawyers whose specialisation is workplace law. They have extensive experience in healthcare and understand the challenges midwives face at work.

As a member, you receive a *free initial consultation with DKL’s solicitors. DKL will aim to resolve your legal issue at the initial consultation and will, if needed, help guide you on how to best manage your own legal affairs. Where that’s not possible though, and additional legal advice is required, DKL offers a special discounted rate of their employment law services to members.

Ongoing services past the initial consultation attract a 20% discount off standard rates.

In the vast majority of cases, an initial consultation can be scheduled within 48 hours if you need it, and we will get straight into the matter.

DKL knows that the healthcare industry comes with the odd hours, the overtime, and juggling of life outside of work. While normal consultations involve meeting you face to face, DKL consultations can also be scheduled outside of normal office hours, by phone or web.

What’s the value of the special rates for ACM members?

An initial consultation with DKL is normally $726 (including GST). In addition to a free initial consultation with a DKL expert solicitor, if you need further employment law advice, the firm offers 20% off their standard rates for any assistance past that initial consult.

What kinds of things does the DKL advise on?

The DKL team is on hand to support all ACM members in any matter related to professional and employment issues. This could help you with a wide range of common concerns, including but not limited to:

  • investigations
  • performance management
  • coroners inquests
  • appealing decisions by regulation agencies
  • access to entitlements
  • bullying, harassment, and discrimination
  • suspensions and dismissals
