From the TAS Branch
Welcome to the ACM TAS branch!
We are comprised of midwives from both the public and private sectors including MGP, private practice and directors in rural and tertiary environments. We meet monthly as a branch executive and quarterly with members for Zoom catch ups and social gatherings. We passionately advocate for continuity, woman centred care and full scope of practice for midwives.
Because advocacy is a large part of ACM TAS we would love to hear from you! This way we can best support our wonderful Tassie midwives, students and consumers. You can email [email protected] or post on the Tasmania Branch Community on Midwives Share.
Along with advocacy the ACM TAS branch provides professional and educational opportunities by organising conferences, workshops and events. We also represent as a committee in the health and education sectors and meet with relevant stakeholders.
This year we aim to increase our consumer and student engagement, recognising the valuable contribution consumers and student midwives make in improving quality of services.
