This is a hands-on, skills-based training day with extensive guided practice using medical models, ensuring you leave with confidence and competence you can apply immediately.
Your registration includes a take-home training kit to continue your learning beyond the day.
To maximise learning outcomes, a pre-workshop online module is completed beforehand — together totalling 10 CPD hours.
This workshop is widely regarded as a must-do for midwives seeking best-practice perineal repair skills and is expected to book out quickly.
There is a pre-workshop component in addition to the face to face practical workshop allowing participants to obtain 10 hours of CPD.
This workshop will be facilitated by Dr Sara Kindberg Adelskov and Melanie Francis from GynZone.
Sara Kindberg Adelskov
Perineal Care Specialist, Midwife, PhD. Founder and CEO of GynZone -Sara is a Danish midwife, MSc in Health Science and PhD in Health Sciences from Aarhus University. She is also a Serial Entrepreneur and Impact Investor in women’s reproductive health. From 2000 to 2022, Sara worked at Aarhus University Hospital as a midwife and perineal care specialist. Since 2008, she has also been the CEO of GynZone ApS, where she works globally with education and simulation training in the diagnosis, anaesthesia, suturing, and healing of birth injuries.
Melanie Francis
Melanie is a GynZone workshop instructor, clinical midwifery educator and Head of Operation of GynZone Australia and New Zealand.

The medical training models used during the workshop are provided by Vulva Enterprise. The perineal repair kit that delegates receive has a value of 800 AUD.

We understand that circumstances can change, however ACM has contractual commitments with venues for in person events and as such requires adequate written notice for any cancellations. From 1 January 2024, the following will apply to requests for cancellations/refunds:
