ABOUT THE ROLE
We offer a supported pathway into midwifery at Eastern Health with our friendly teams in our health service by providing opportunities to increase your skills, knowledge and confidence while working in birth suite and postnatal areas, with support from our Learning & Teaching team.

The Graduate Program is designed for newly qualified midwives who are looking to establish their careers.

The Early Career Midwife (ECM) Program enables recently qualified midwives (graduated within the last 3 years) who have not undertaken a Graduate Midwifery Program an unique opportunity to enter the Eastern Health midwifery workforce in our maternity settings.

Both programs are 12 months total, and would include two 6-month rotations across various areas of midwifery.

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you should possess:
• Midwife registration with AHPRA.
• Recent completion of a pre-registration or post-graduate midwifery degree. For the ECM Program, this can be completed in the past three years.
• You have not been accepted into and completed a formal Graduate Midwifery Program previously.
• You will have full working rights in Australia at the commencement of the program in July 2024.

Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
