  • Current registration with AHPRA; availability and capacity to work and participate in an on-call roster across the continuum of care that includes pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period as specified in the Pilot Annualised Salary agreement.
  • A current NSW Driver's Licence (P2 Licence acceptable) and willingness to travel in the course of employment.

The MGP Midwife will aim to expand the options for maternal health services for pregnant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and women having an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander baby. The MGP midwife will provide clinical, cultural, educational and psychological support as well as enhancing the seamless transition to child and family health nursing and to other services or agencies as required. The MGP midwife will also have the opportunity to work with women who are not Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, when there is space within their caseload.

This role includes working a 7 day rotating roster with on call availability required.
