Panelists

Associate Professor Zoe Bradfield

Zoe Bradfield is an Associate Professor of Midwifery with a joint appointment between Curtin University and the Women and Newborn Health Service in WA. She has been a midwife for more than 20 years working in rural and metropolitan settings. She is currently leading a MRFF-funded clinical trial investigating whether melatonin can support a reduction in the rates of induced labour.

Kylie Ekin

Kylie Ekin is an experienced and knowledgeable Maternity Consumer Representative and activist who since having her first baby 11 years ago, has led several campaigns to improve maternity care in WA. Kylie has experienced three inductions all at 38 weeks and is keen to discuss how we can improve birth for other women.

Dr Scott White

Scott White is Senior Lecturer in Maternal Fetal Medicine at The University of Western Australia and Consultant at King Edward Memorial Hospital in Perth. He has varied research interests including perinatal epidemiology and the prevention of preterm birth. Scott chairs the Women’s Health Committee of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and is editor-in-Chief of the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
