Survey of CPD resources at QLD Health facilities

On behalf of the Queensland Health in conjunction with the Australian College of Midwives we request your participation in a project that has been implemented to enhance the provision of continuing professional development (CPD) for midwives employed within Queensland Health facilities. The project, which is a partnership between Queensland Health and the Australian College of Midwives, commenced in July 2008 and is due for completion in late 2008.

The purpose of the project is to help Queensland Health better understand current CPD opportunities for midwives and develop a plan to better meet the needs of Queensland midwives in the future.

The aims of the project are to:

  • Undertake a stocktake of CPD opportunities for midwives in Queensland
  • Undertake a CPD needs analysis for Queensland midwives
  • Develop a CPD plan, identifying strenghts, gaps and future priorities for the Queensland midwives

The stock take of CPD opportunities will be undertaken by examining the responses from the questionaire, which is being circulated to Midwifery educators at Queensland Health facilities. We'd be grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete the questionaire and return it to us.
